From May 2003 to April 2004 OM PROGRAMS founders Carmela and Felix Wolf developed and implemented Acupuncture at SeaSM for Celebrity Cruise Lines.
After several months of preparation the first cruise, with an onboard acupuncture clinic, was launched onSeptember 26, 2003. The GTS 'Infinity' departed from Vancouver, British Columbia on a two week voyage to the Hawaiian islands.

Acupuncture at SeaSM offered Acupuncture treatments for cruise guests and a series of lectures on Acupuncture, nutrition, and other aspects of Oriental Medicine. After only four months of trial cruises, the program proved such a success that Celebrity Cruises decided on a fleetwide roll-out of Acupuncture at SeaSM in Spring 2004. Other cruise lines followed suit, and today, acupuncture services can be found nearly on every cruise ship
In the development phase, the Wolfs performed over a thousand Acupuncture treatments on board and presented thirty lectures to large audiences. Approximately 95% of the guests who received treatment had never experienced Acupuncture previously. While developing this program, the Wolfs continuously received outstanding ratings from both, the guests and the cruise management alike, and not a single guest complaint was ever logged.
Pain management, orthopedic problems, weight control, and smoking cessation accounted for the majority of visits but many other health complaints were also treated successfully.
